My father-in-law is the 6th great-grandson of William Jayne/De Jeanne, b. 01-25-1617 in Bristol, England, d. 03-24-1714 in Setauket, New York. William is buried in the Setauket Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Setauket. The Caroline Episcopal Church and Cemetery are next to the Presbyterian church. There are several Jaynes buried there. Among them are: William Jones Jayne, b. 10-21-1843, d. 01-07-1927 and his wife Marion S. Wilson, d. 03-14-1851, d. 12-08-1907 : Charles F. Jayne, b. 09-10-1816, d. 06-24-1899 and his wife Amelia, b. 02-20-1824, d. 02-14-1897 : William Jayne, Esq., d. 07-11-1826, and his wife Mary Holme/Helme?, d. 03-01-1825 : William Jayne (son of William Jayne Esq.), d. 03-20-1832 at 46 yrs, 7 mos. : Julia Rosemond Jayne (wife of Charles E. Smith), b. 02-12-1846, d. 09-18-1908 : Anselm Helm Jayne, b. 04-23-1840, d. 08-13-1879, and his wife, Adelaide B. Raynor, b. 06-07-1941, 09-02-1927 : Carlton Jayne, b. 09-10-1812, d. 09-24-1879, and his wife, Harriet Roseman, b. 02-05-1817, d. 03-24-1881 : and lastly, Milton A. Jayne, b. 10-05-1855, d. 11-25-1885. If anyone has any information on how/if the Jaynes buried in the Caroline Episcopal Church Cemetery are related to the William Jayne buried in the Setauket Presbyterian Church Cemetery, I would greatly appreciate any data you might have one the subject.
Thank You, Joel Buckner
