My gggrandfather, John Hughes, married Mary Jeans (Jeams) in Virginia. We found record of many "Jeams" at the Albemarle County Courthouse in Charlottesville, Virginia. I am looking for information and verification of marriage and so far cannot find anything. John Hughes eldest son was John J. Hughes who married Elizabeth Ann Proffitt in Nelson County, Virginia. Would appreciate help.
