Hi Mike, Thank you for answering . I'm not sure what else I can tell you. My g-grandfather came to America in 1855, with a man name Jeffs. I don't know the first name of the man . I just know that from family story's ,that my g-granddad was "bound", ( his word ) to this man by his father, and that is how he came to the USA. Now I have been told that people wouldn't have been bound then. I am only going by what he told. Maybe it was just a way for him to earn his way over. When I was looking up his citizenship papers , I found two Jeffs that also got their citizenship papers in the same county. Abraham in 1856 and Issac in 1855. So I thought maybe it was the same family as the one he came over with. Under stand ? , well I said it was a long shot. You see I don't know where g-grandpa was from or his family's name. I was hoping if I could find where Jeffs was from it would give me a place to look for g-grandpa's family. Sorry I got so long here.
