Jehl name changes to Yahl

The Yahl ancestors came to America in the mid 1800's and settled in St. Mary's Ohio. The Alsacian spelling was changed. There was Nicholas and Phillip. There was also a Michael that did not enter the U.S. on the east coast perhaps. Does anyone know about this at all.
