No, they were from Baden, Wuuertemberg, Germany. They landed in Pa. and set up their farms. George's were my great & grandfather who was the son of Thomas & Susanna Yehl. I know she was Protestant and her people left Germany who were originally from ????????France or England and had moved to Germany to escape all the different persecutions toward protestants in those days. I did a little history research on Yehl's and found that protestants had to paint their homes the color blue so they could be located. My lineage is Lutheran. I know they could not own anything such as business, homes, etc. Yehl's spelling is in the Eisenhard(t) lineage and I believe I found Susanna parents had lived north of Northampton County line now Lehigh.
