I am interested in any information you have about Doric S. Ball and Harriett Jemison. Especially if you have information on the Jemison lineage. According to my research, Doric S. Ball married Harriett Jemison and according to our family lore, the last two names were hyphenated at the request of Harriett Jemison. Doric S. Ball and Harriett had five children; Imogene Harriett, Anita, Corinthia, Ionia, and Doric Sabre Jemison-Ball.
Doric Sabre Jemison-Ball was my great grandfather. He married an Icelandic woman, named Margrit Arnason, and had one child, we thinkjust one , named Doric Tristan Jemison-Ball. He is my grandfather. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Other than the fact that Doric Sabre Jemison-Ball died when my grandfather was around 2 years old, 1898 - 1902, we have no information about him. Margrit Arnason then moved to Port Angeles, WA with her young son and married Anders Jensen Andreson, a Danish immigrant who was a founder of Port Angeles, Washington. He adopted Doric Tristan. Margrit then passed away, and Anders Andreson married Margrit's sister, Gertrude, or Gertie. The Andreson clan is spread out on both sides of the Straits of Juan de Fuca between Canada and the U.S.
If you want dates and biographies, let me know an I will send you what I have.
For you information, Doric Tristan Jemison-Ball, married a woman named Lena Jane Harthill of Pine City, Washington. They had one son, Doric William Jemison Ball (the hyphen was dropped with my father). Doric William Jemison Ball married Jessie Robbins Boyd, of Yak, Montana. They had three sons, Terry Lee Jemison Ball (me), Doric Tristan Jemison-Ball (he put the hyphen back into his last name), and Danny Robbins Ball.
