This reminds me, I came across this from "Vital Statistics of Adams County, Pennsylvania 1800-1825, Marriages Deaths and Events from the Adans Centinal Newspaper" compiled by Randy Miller, entry #1088, pg.77, "AUGUST 11, 1824 GEORGE YENOWINE of MT PLEASANT TWP. died on the 31st, age 60 years."

While spellings have now become somewhat standardized, unless a person is aware of alternate spellings he may miss half his family tree.
