I volunteer at the Pennsylvania Room at the Hanover Public Library and I was handed as slip with the name Yenewine, Genewine and asked to check the census CD's. I recognized the name as probably the same one I had picked up doing some research on Valentine Wentz a couple of years ago. I checked this forum just out of curiosity. I do remember
There are a couple of entries with the name at St. David,s Sherman's Church, in York Co.
Pa. There is a pedigree for Barabara on the LDS' Ancestral File Her AFN #108h-LS6. From the cnsus index we know ther was a George andLeonard in the 1790 census and they are gone by 1800. That is basically all I know, other that this area the name is spelled with
a J, G. and Y and ends in both wine and wein
