I note with some degree of excitement the middle name of your wife's grandfather: John BARTON Jergins. I have been looking for a long time for one John Henry Jergins who married Adelia Clark. Adelia's father was BARTON Clark of Houston County. I show John & Adelia as having been married in about 1847. The birth of John Barton Jergins in 1893 would make him fit perfectly as a grandson from this union. Do you know if any of your wife's folks came from Houston County? If this is correct, I can give you her Clark ancestral line back to the emigrant in 1633. Please, give me a clue on this one! Thank you very much.
