James and John Jett are familiar names. John and Alice/Alcey are the children of James Jett. John, (b. 1769 d. 1853), is the father of William Jett.

Alice Jett married Courtney Norman in 1793 and had three children before 1800 and three after 1800. By 1810 they are living in Knox County, TN where they remain. In his Will, James Jett calls Courtney his "son-in-law".

William Jett marries Alice/Alcey Norman, the daughter of Alice Jett [Norman]. They seem to have had 4 children between 1833 and 1843 before she died. Their children are John, Susan, Elizabeth and Salina all born in TN. John Jett was living with them in 1850 in Knox County, TN before he died. John, William and Alcey all state they were born in Virginia .

Both women died. Both men married second. I have not found any clues as to the names of John Jett's mother: John Jett's wife, or the parents of Courtney Norman. I am sure he is related to Isaac Norman, but I don't know how.
