Kate, Thanks for your kind words and for the info you furnished. Did any of your Jett lines intermarry with a Searcy by any chance? I am attempting to help a lady whose
ancestor, Spencer B, Searcy, left Wilson Co, Tn around 1839 or 1840 and went to Marion Co ILWhen the Platt Purchase went through, he sold his land in IL and moved to MO where he died and is buried in Cope Cemetery in Davies Co, MO. His son Jackson Searcy says that Spencer was the son of a William Searcy and a Miss Hampton.Spencer was born 1816 and married Nancy Washington Wilkinson in1837 in Montgomery Co, TN.This may be a long shot but I have found Searcys every where the Jetts went after North Carolina.
So that is why I wondered about IL, Ohio and MO. Thanks again for your note.Lois
