Isaac Jett, d. Ohio 11/6/1792
In Henry Howe's book, "Historical collections of Ohio," published 1851 in Cincinnati, he quotes at length a letter from a participant in a battle with Indians near Fort St. Clair, Ohio, on November 6, 1792, in which one of the men killed is identified as Isaac Jett.
This book is another text available from the "Making of America" website -- this time, the one maintained by the University of Michigan, which is participating in the project along with Cornell University.
The site also has the 1853 "Washington [D.C.] & Georgetown Directory," which lists a Mrs. Jett (no first name given) who operated a cake shop on the north side of Water Street, between High and Congress, in Georgetown.
