As we find more ways to spell our name, which came from the Jeur spelling from the 1200's saxon version, this one is a new one. But I can not say that this spelling is or is not from the first spelling. The Scottish have 22 ways to spell it and some of the other ways like Jower, Jewer, Jewell, Jewar are from the saxon name Jeur. So don't give up because you may find that it was changed from something else.
