Katherine Winifred "Winnie" Gilpatrick, 97, of 90 Taunton St., Wrentham, and a former resident of Garden Lane, died Saturday at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the widow of Burnham C. Gilpatrick. Born in Mitchells Bays Nova Scotia, Canada, on April 22, 1904, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Behrendt) Jewers. She and her family came to Franklin (MA) in 1914 and she was educated in the Franklin Public Schools. She has been a Wrentham resident since 1957. A retired electrical inspector for the Foxboro Co., she had worked there for 25 years until retiring in 1971. Active with the Grange, she had been an honorary member of the Franklin Grange, the Norfolk and Pamona Grange, and the state and national Grange. She joined the Grange in 1922. She was a member of the Lady Franklin Rebekkah Lodge in Franklin. Survivors include a son, Burnham C. Gilpatrick and his wife Anne of Framingham (MA), several grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Eileen Killen. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the R.J. Ross Funeral Home, 135 South Street, Wrentham Center. Burial will follow in Wrentham Centre Cemetery.
