Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Emibas CD:

Emibas was made from registrations in the Swedish parish to go to a foreign country. It is about 75% complete.

This says he left Älghult parish in 1904. He was not living in the village of Thorshult at the time and was not in Kråksmåla parish at the time, apparently.

Johansson, Johan August Martin
Arbetare = worker. (unmarried man)

b. 10/1/1881 in Kråksmåla, Kalmar län (Småland)

Emigrated 1/1/1904
from Kulla Skattegård, Älghult, Kronobergs län (Småland)
to Amerika

Source: Household Examination Roll, p. 512

Emibas migration file ID: Älghult G 1904 004

He emigrated late enough that his naturalization record should provide a LOT of details. That information should tell the port and date of leaving Sweden; the ship, port, and date of arriving in the U.S. and much more. I am talking about the entire naturalization file and not just his certificate proving he was a citizen. Check the NARA facility where he was living when he naturalized.

This site tells how to try to find ship arrival manifests.
