Hi RoseMarie,

Your email is interesting because it may be a clue to my ancestry. My Great-Grandfather was named Carl August Sandberg (B. 12/1/1856 in Raberga, Sweden, Immigrated in 1879, D. 8/20/1936 in Austin Texas). He had a brother named Anders Johan Sandberg (B. 1848 in Raberga, Sweden Immigrated 1870, D. 8/20/1936 in Austin Texas). Their father was named Johan Anderson, a tenant farmer from Akerby, Sweden. Their last name would have been Johansson most likely BUT, I've been told they changed their name when they immigrated to Sandberg. Did they runaway from home to start a new life? Is there a connection?

Kevin
