OH those convoluted Joliffs/ Jolleys/ Jollys/ Jollits/ Jollitts/ Jolliffes, etc etc!!!They are the sources of many a genealogist's headache to be sure!I am equally interested in ANY documentation as to birth, marriage and death statistics for the several Johns and their cohorts.

I have also, the Nugent volumes I, II & III. In volume II, in addition to the one you mention, Rick, appear this entry:
"JOHN JOLLIFFE, 867 acs., Low. Norf. Co., at head of the broad Cr., of the W. br. of Eliz. Riv., 20 Apr. 1682. p. 140. Adj. Thomas Cottle; James Murray; &c. 267. granted him 18 Oct. 1664; 200 acs. granted Jno. Jolliffe, Senr. 13 Jan. 1661; 400 acs. for trans. of 8 pers: Jno. May, Tho. Nutt, Herbert Spring, James Coppin, Andrew Street, Rich. Heath, Tho. Dulana, James Aust."
and these intriguing entries:
"CHARLES EDMONDS, THO. HANCOCK & RICHD. TAYLOR, 3000 acs., New Kent Co., on the North River where sd. Edmonds liveth; 7 Apr. 1674, p. 507. Trans. of 60 pers: ... Jno. Jolly, ..."(etc.)
So here is another John Jolly (?)
"MARY HOLLOWELL, 400 acs., Low. Norf. Co., towards head of the W. br. of Eliz. Riv., 20 Apr. 1682, p. 145, 300 acs. beg. on line of Peter Rigglesworth; which land was granted to Mary Capps 16 Mar. 1663 & due sd. Mary Hollowell, her dau. & sole heiresse; 100 acs. adj. sd. tract; & land of Tho. Cottle, &c; due for trans. of: Arthur Spoure (or Spourl), twice."
"JEAN LOVELL. 17 acs., Low, Norf. Co., on S, side of the W. br. of Eliz. Riv., being the povnts adjacent to her land of Rigglesworth's pattent: beg. at the br. opposite to Granger's Cutt; to Horher's corner; &c. 20 apr. 1682, p. 146, Trans. of: Arthur Spoar (?)"
These dates, and the connection to the Rigglesworth patent are intriguing. Are these women connected? Are they connected to Rigglesworths? The date is the same as the Land Patents you mentioned, found under THOMAS TUCKER, in same volume, granted to John Jolliffe.
And just for fun, who is Arthur Spoure/Spourl/Spoar, that he should be transported twice (!?) by one woman, Mary as well as also by/or together with, another woman, Jean?
So many Q's, so few A's...
Please keep us posted should any tidbit come to light. And I will do the same. Happy trails-following to you!
