Robbi,
I am a ggranddaughter of Maren Sofie Jorgensen.
I have the same information you have, probably from the genealogy my aunt did some 20 years ago (with my grandmother's information.)I have just started doing genealogy research, but had not started on my paternal grandmother's side until yesterday when I received a letter from my father. In it was a partial copy of the Jorgensen genealogy with a request for more information on Maren Sofie Jorgensen's descendants. This woman had found my father in the phone book, and decided to ask if anyone was keeping up the descendant list for our side. She has been working on the Jorgensen genealogy also, and has quite a bit of information on the descendants of Ane Kirstine Jorgensen, her ggrandmother.
I have not spoken to her yet, or emailed her, but I am sure she would share information with you.You can email me for her information if you still need Jorgensen info.I realize your post was several years ago - maybe you have the information already.
Since yesterday, I have found that Carl Jørgensen's parents were Jørgen Carlsen and Maren Hansdatter, both born about 1788.I haven't found the exact information yet, just info from the census. In 1834 they were both 46 and had two children, Karen Jørgensen 14, and Carl Jørgensen 10, and at that time they were living in Skippinge, Vallekilde Sogn, Ods Herred, Holbæk Amt.
Jørgen Carlsen's parents were Carl Jensen(born about 1742) and Karen Jørgensen(born about 1758) and he had at least 3 sisters and 2 brothers that I have found. In the 1787 Census, before Jørgen was born, the family was living in Svinninge, Svinninge Sogn, Tuse Herred, Holbæk Amt.
That was about all of the new stuff I found, and I realize this is getting kind of long, but let me know if you want more information.
It was really nice to find a relative looking for the same people!
Deb
