I was just going through people who had signed a contract with the Holland Land Company to purchase land. I found that an Amasa Joslyn did so in 1811 T8, R4 which means the land was in Java township and Wyoming Co. I don't know if this could be your Amasa or another one. The thing that caught my interest is that Java is only about 30 miles from LeRoy in Genesee Co. which is where my family Seth Josleyn son of Stockbridge and Olive Standish Josselyn lived.
