I'm sorry, I can't help you with the last names of the wives of Miles G. and A.E. Turner.
I have not seen the 1845 MS state census.I just came across a reference to it and the 1853 state census a couple of weeks ago.I currently reside in Hawaii, so if it isn't on the internet, it takes me awhile to track down hard info.Stephen E. had a son named Seaborn J. born about 1843-44.I think Seaborn J. died in the Civil War.
My aunt told me that Gilford B. (another Stephen E. son)had a son that died young whose name was Abner, but neither the census nor Gilford's application for a pension after the Civil War bears this out. I have an uncle, who was the grandson of Gilford, named Abner. My guess is, and it is only a guess, my uncle was probably named after his granduncle.Bottom line is, I think they are related but I haven't been able to prove it.I'm open for suggestions, advice or proof.
What is the format of the 1845 MS state census?Does it show family relationships?
