Hello folks: I'm new to this forum and would like to ask for some help. Miles Judson was born June 18, 1844, probably in Wood County, Ohio. I found him in the 1870 Census in Plain Twp., Wood County, living with his widowed mother Catherine (she was age 60) and two younger sisters. Their names may be be Louisa and Lorna. Miles was 24 and single.
He was a soldier from Ohio in the Civil War and sustained some injury(ies) from which he suffered the rest of his life. He married Sarah Elizabeth Ferrell, daughter of James and Mary Garess Ferrell on May 7, 1874. They had a child, probably named Charles (the Census is difficult to read) in 1876.
In 1880 Sarah Elizabeth and Charles are living with Sarah's mother in Milton Twp., Wood County and there is no sign of Miles.
I have found Miles in the Soldiers and Sailors Home in Sandusky, Erie County, Ohio for 1910, age 65, and 1920, age 75, a widower. I have a date of death 1926 for Miles. Does anyone know anything about this family? Were there additional children? What happened to Charles? When did Sarah Elizabeth die? I will appreciate any help you have for me.
