Kaalekahi, is the birth name of my great, great grandfather. He is from South Kona, and lived in the Napoopoo/Kahauloa area. He had brothers known as Keliipaakaua,Kelekolio,Kane,Kamekona. These are all known last names today, including my great great granfather's, Kaalekahi. If someone could explain the family ties to the Napoopoo area, and the Kalua family. My great grandmother Lucy Mahuna (Kaalekahi) Grace, was hanai at a young age by this Kalua family, but what is the relationship, and why did they leave her behind with this family, and moved to Molokai. What other families does my great grandmother have?
