HI Warren,

Plaese forgive me for my English, as it is not my mothertongue (Im Dutch..).

The supposed German family name Kaar originates to the Family name vah het Kaar from 'De Zaanstreek' (area in the provind\ce 'Noord Holland' in teh Netherlands. As far as I know there has been a split up in the family : part of the family moved to the south of the netherlands, part went to Germany and got rid of the 'van het' part, and the rest reamianed in 'Noord Holland'. The word Kaar actualy is a part of a windmill and its a Dutch word.........

There has also been a windmill with the name 'Kaar' wich was located in an area known as Óooster Bies veld' near the village 'Zaandam' in 'Noord Holland' in the Netherlands. It is that family I do originate from.
