Rachel Louise was born with last name Braxton in 1917, Snow Camp, NC, and adopted at an early age (mother not married), possibly to a family "Kootz" or "Knotz" therefore possibly "Kaatz" in western NC, possibly vicinity of Asheville, NC
Before end of century, some family members were making contact in the Snow Camp area to find information on the Braxton family into which she was born, daughter of the sister to my grandfather Robert Pearl Braxton, born 1887, grand-daughter to John Wesley Braxton who died 1920 in Snow Camp, NC
