I have followed my tree back to Joseph Gagley (Kagley, Kekley?
His father was a Jacob Gagley (Keckley.

Joseph b. feb. 14, 1838 d. 1924 maried an Elizabeth Kantner.

children:
Charles Martin
Arthur Benjamin (my relative)
Robert
Martha

I have seen the spelling from Kagley, Keckley, Cocklin Caquelin and Gocklin. But I have not found a Jacob who was born in Germany and supposedly stole or stole abord a ship with a son of Joseph.

Can you help me with a connection?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
