Hi Rhonda:

Yes, I knew all those facts about Elizabeth Keckley. What I assumed was that James Keckley did have a connection to our ancestors. I wanted to find that information in the book. I have read many items on Eliz and her association with the Lincoln's. Everything is well documented except she had such a dislike for her x-husband that she wouldn't talk about him. So we'll probably never know...but you have to think with the name Keckley that he or his family were connected in some way to one of ours back in Virginia. I knew Eliz didn't have any connection other than her husband. Wish she would have given a few more facts about him.....June
