There is a coat of arms, it's hanging on my wall. It has read ostrich feathers in the plume representing how at one time the Polish empire extended south in to present Day turkey and east into present day Crimea My grandfather traced the name---which was orginally *before english* something closer to Kochanowski. There are two main branches of the family dating from the 15th century. One branch in Northern Poland--land owners, but also worked tere own lands---blonde/red haired blue eyed branch Member of the family included cup bearers and other such positions to the King of Poland and another in the south near the urkraine. These were also nobility. No clue if they are related. I know much more. Email me.
