I am trying to establish the lineage of Valentin Kaczmarek my greatgrandfather.He was born about 1852( I don't know where)and died 1896 in Chicago. He was married to Cecelia Helwig. They had 7 children between 1870&1890,four of whom survived to adulthood. Othelia(Tillie Foessler)1883-1944, John Valentine 1884-1970 who married Rose Neckermann,Henrietta(Hattie Granhold)1890-1940 and Hedwig 1890-1911.I cannot find records for any of the family which would lead me back to his beginings.Anyone have any ideas
