Frank, You said that John Adam Kadel had a brother, Johannes, who came here also. Do you know when? or where? John Adam and his wife keep appearing in my line where I'm trying to locate my GGGgrandfather's parents' names. My John came here in 1864 with his wife Margaret and young son John. They settled in Butler Co., Ohio. I know that alot of Koedel's (German spelling) came to Butler Co., PA. My GGGgrandfather had a brother who came here maybe 2 years later. I know the name of the town where most Koedel's are from in Germany. There are so many variations in the Koedel name that I keep hitting dead ends. Kadel is an Americanized spelling. I have Kadle's in my line as my GGgrandfather held onto the German spelling while his siblings changed theirs. Feel free to e-mail me personally at carousel@zoomtown.com. Thanks, Vickie
