My Great Grandmother was Catherine C. Kadel. She married John G Kehr. They left Germany in 1850 and settled in Bloomington, Illinios. They had 8 children. It is said that my great grandmother came to the U.S. to be with her brother who was connected somehow to something known as the Golden Band. Please respond.
