Charles Kadel with brothers Philip and Daniel
started the first band in Bloomington, ILL. The band was started after Charles arrived in 1854. Charles is the son of Unknown2 Kadel in the genealogy section Kadels in America of my web page at www.jps.net/hartwell/.
There was a cousin, William Kadel, in the band, also. He is the son of Unknown5 Kadel in my web page.
I have many newspaper articles about Charles and the band. I am interested in learning more about Catherine C. Kadel and her family and brothers. Your dated don't jibe with what the newspaper articles say, but the family name is correct, and probably not more than one band in Bloomington started by Kadels.
