RIVER TOSS in Canton Zurich. The homeland of the KAGYs seems to have been in villages and towns along the River Toss in eastern Canton Zurich: Bauma, Fischenthal, Turbenthal, Wald. The Swiss have early records of KAGY families living there.
This river valley runs south to north before joining the Rhine. Does anyone know the original village? Has anyone ever visited this area? It seems to have been an early industrial area (think water powered mills), but the KAGYs would already have gone to America before industrialization. Today most of this area is in the Pfaffikon district, I believe.
