Hello, from time to time I scout out ebay for vintage photographs of my own ancestors. When I see named photos of people with other surnames, I always think it is a shame to not have them matched up with their true ancestors. I noticed a great one of a WWI aviator named Lt. F.J. Kahl. It was taken in 1918 in France. I thought anyone with a Kahl connection might like to take a look at it. Here is the link:

I'm going to save a low resolution copy of it, but not bid on it, since it is not my family. If anyone ever comes across this email and wants to see it email me.

The ebay seller's handle is: dolphinphotos in case you want to contact them after the auction ends. It seems to be a "buy-it-now" auction which could go on for months.

I just wish there was a way to match up all these old photos with their family members - especially war veterans. I did a search of ancestry.com military records, but without a specific first name couldn't find anything definitive. But, for some reason this photo spoke to me, so I thought I would post a message on it!

Beth
