I don't have alot of information on the Hughes side, but this is what I have on John Wesley and his children, and Pearl's Kaighin family:
John Wesley Hughes b. 29 Oct 1888 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, died 18 Sep 1967 (I assume in Toledo)
Had three children, Evelyn Pearl Hughes (b. 1914, m. Richard C. Pontious) , Doris May Hughes (b. 10 Mar 1920 m. Donald Wiseman, Betty Ann Hughes (b. 3 Aug 1922 m. Richard Allyn)
Pearl Josephine Kaighin born 13 Jan 1891 in Cleveland, Ohio, daughter of Thomas Gale Kaighin and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Hasselman". Died 8 Apr 1959 and Buried Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, Lucas County, OH. Died in Flower Hospital, Toledo.

While doing a search on Google just now of "kaighin" and "hughes", I found an item on ebay for sale that may interest you. It's a Kaighin and Hughes Steam Boiler book. I've seen this company name before but I'm not sure how it ties in to this family, perhaps you've heard about it? Anyway, here's the ebay link:
