I am trying to find out for certain the information I have on my Kakritz relatives. I am certain of everyone up to Frederick August Kakritz, and am fairly certain the information found in his funeral register is correct concerning his parents, but there is some confusion about his link to Carl and Welhelmina. I know I am related to them through Frederick, but want to see if anyone has the missing links to prove exactly how. The information I have is as follows:

I am granddaughter to Dorothy Mary Kakritz, b. December 07, 1917 on Dutch Hill, in Seely Criek, Chemung Co., NY.

She was born to Frederick August Kakritz and Frieda Caroline Mathew, who were married Abt. 1916 in NY. Frederick A. was b. October 30, 1891 in Big Flatts, NY, and d. September 21, 1972 in Elmira NY. He is buried in Rural Home Cemetery, grave6, Big Flatts, Chemung Co., NY.
Frieda C. was b. October 07, 1893 in Elmira NY, and d. May 10, 1971.
Other children were Bernice, Florence, Anna, Charles, and infant Frieda who died at birth.

Frederick was {according to my grandmother's recollection at age 55, and as recorded by her in the funeral register book} born to Carl Kakritz and Anna Davis. I have little info on them. Carl died in 1940.
There is some conflicting information with the other children , Minnie, Clara, Gertrude, who was born in 1899, and Bertha who was born 1898. I am not sure if Bertha and Gertrude were the children of Carl and Anna, or of Carl and Welhelmina, whose information is as follows:

Carl Kakritz was born 1831-1832 in Germandy and his wife Welhelmina was born 1831-1832 Germandy.
1920 New York Census information lists Welhelmina living with son Carl and his brother Robert {b. 1878}, as well as Carl's two daughters, one whose name is Gertrude, one whose name is illegible, one 24 and the other i believe 26, and a grandson Carl, who may have been born in 1919 or 1920, depending on the exact date the census was taken. There was a William Kakritz {b. 1873}living on the farm next to them, whom I assume is a brother to Carl, son of Welhelmina. He was married to a Gertrude, last name unknown. There was also immigration information in the census, but I will have to attach an update with that
The address listed for both Carl and William Kakritz in the 1920 Census was Dutch Hill, which was filled with all my family members, Kakritz and Kloss alike. I know I am related to them all, but need to find someone with the missing links. If you have anything that may help, please email me at I will be more than happy to share what I have.
