Thank you for responding to my post. I went to Baldwin City, Kansas and found quite a bit from his obit and family that still survive. They asked me to make a copy for the Baldwin City Genealogy library’s files, which I did.
I’ll be happy to exchange what I have with you if you’re interested in comparing notes.
My information differs a little from yours. I have Abraham, Sr. Married twice.. Your wifes George being only child from 2nd marriage.
First wife Elizabeth’s mother was Carrah Joachim & Jacob Ihle.

In my notes I wrote: This looks like Peter Joachim (Joakum) is father of Abraham's wife, Elizabeth, possible brother of Carrah Joakum, mother of Abraham's first wife. This would make Abraham's two wives cousins. 1850 Census: Abraham Jr. nor Michael Kalb are living in the home at this time.
Do you know anything about the possibility of the wives being cousins ?.

Abraham 1844-1915 was ˝ nephew to my ggg-grandmother Margaret (Kalb) Nease.
He lived lived with my Margaret Kalb and her husband William Nease.
1860 Meigs Co. Ohio Census, (age 16)
January 24, 1984 letter from Deane Mason (daughter of Edith Kalb Roser) tells there is proof of her grandfather, Abraham living with Margaret in his Civil war records.

Margaret (Kalb) and William Nease daughter Sarah E. Married Andrew J. Crooks.. Andrew and Sarah moved to Kansas, where Sarah died. Three of thier children were sent back to Ohio to be raised by Sarahs family.. Thier oldest son Charles Crooks (my g-grandfather) went to live with Abraham and Emma (Duncan) Kalb in Baldwin City, Kansas.

Below is how the family looks in my data.
