Kalischki/Kalisky

Berisch and Zielie Kalischki arrived on the ship Barcelona, Hamburg to NY, September 12, 1902. The manifest states Russian/Hebrew from Kalischki.(I was told by a family member they are actually Polish.)

The ship manifest mentions Simon Glaser, brother in law, and "her brother" so Glaser may be Zielie's maiden name.

They changed their names to Kalisky, Benjamin (born 8/6/1876) and Celia (born 12/31/1880). They first resided in Manhattan, NY where all the children were born and later moved to Newark, NJ where they died and are buried in Talmud Torah Cemetery.

Their children are Minnie, Frederick, Lillian and Florence.

I will appreciate any help with this family and suggestions for a reliable source of assistance for research in Poland/Russia.

Thank you.
