The name kaluza is a slavic word meaning pond or pool. I do not believe it is a muddy puddle. I am searching for the birth place of my grandfather John- Jan or Johann Kaluza. He died in Klein Lagiewnik Silesia ( Near Lublinec Poland ) on the 24th of January 1893. The death report gives his birth date as 6 Feb 1821. He was a Kolinist so he must have moved there from somewhere else. I would like any information you can share.
