Yes, I have heard the story, but didn't have all the details. I had heard that he had a child by a woman named Loveday, but didn't have her first name nor the child's name. Apparently, at least most of the family was unaware of the situation until the funeral for "Link". The Loveday's were at the funeral and the word was passed. The expression I heard was "You could have knocked me over with a feather" from one who was there. I have a lot of data on the Connatser line if you want it. There is also a lot of data on the internet which documents the family back to Germany, and a couple of generations there. I have that in my file plus the data I have compiled. Glad to hear from you. I am also interested in compiling the data from all his ancestors, so would appreciate data on your family.
