Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

YOU HAVE REALLY GOT ME TO THINKING ABOUT WHO IT WAS THAT ATTENDED THE FUNERAL. I KNOW SO VERY LITTLE ABOUT MY GRANDFATHER, OTHER THAN HE WAS A MILD MANNERED MAN. IT IS JUST SO EXCITING TO ME TO FIND PIECES OF THE STORY THAT I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT FOR SOME TIME. I'M AFRAID MY MOTHER DOESN'T REMEMBER TOO MUCH, BECAUSE MY FATHER NEVER REALLY TALKED ABOUT IT. TO CONFUSE THINGS EVEN MORE, MY DAD'S MOTHER'S SISTER, ARLETTA ETHERTON MARRIED A ROBERT F. CONNATSER, WHO PASSED AWAY IN 1944. THEIR ISSUE WERE; NINA, FLORA, LILLIAN AND CHARLES (JUNE) ALL OF WHICH ARE NOW DECEASED AND DID RESIDE IN KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE. I ALSO VAGUELY REMEMBER MY DAD SPEAKING OF A TRULA CONNATSER, WHO LIVED IN SEVIERVILL AND MAYBE WE VISITED WITH HER WHEN I WAS A YOUNG CHILD. HAVE YOU HEARD OF ANY OF THESE PEOPLE? YOU MAY E-MAIL ME AT HADAWAYELLEN@AOL.COM
THANKS AGAIN,
