Interested in the Myllykangas family from Ahtari area, Finland and used the name Kangas in America. Three siblings came to Michigan: Kaarle (born 1881)came in 1902 to Ishpeming and that same year his sister, Ida (born 1883), came to join him. In 1907 Onni came to Ishpeming. Kaarle (Charles) and Ida ended up settling in Clark county, Wisconsin and Onni lived in Delta county, Michigan and later in Hurley, Iron county, Wisconsin.
Onni had four children:
Anto (known as Harold) Kangas (born 1912 and buried 1946 in Hurley)
Osmo Kangas ( born 1914 and buried 1947 in Hurley)
Vivian (Kangas) Ketola Buckson (living in 1975)
John Paul Kangas (1921 - 1975)
