Hope you receive this reply as I was searching for Kanouse/Bond connections. My ggrandmother was Carrie Kanouse Brooks daughter of George Kanouse(b. Pa) and Susan Bond ( b. England) born in Nesquehoning. She married Robert G. Brooks. Have some census info and info on Kanouse and Bond families that I would love to share. Please let me know if you are interested. There is a picture of George Kanouse on the Nesquehoning site as a member of the Miner's Band during 1902 Miner's strike you might be interested in.
