I have been looking fo family info and your's sounds close to some things I have. My great-grandfather was Irving Kaplan and he had brothers named Max and Louis, and a sister named Betty. Their parents were Joseph Kaplan and Ida Kaplan (maiden name was Wolf). Both Joseph and Ida were from Russia and moved to NYC probably Manhatten. If any of this sounds right please let me know.
