I have very little information regarding my heritage. What I do know is as follows. My father, Ronald Robert Karp was born in Chicago, IL around 1945. Around the age of 18 he joined the Marines and was shipped to Camp Pendelton in California. While at Pendleton, he met my mother, Mary Ellen Reeder. My father had two sons: Mark, born in 1964 and myself (Michael, born 1968). Around 1970, my father, Ron, disappeared and was never heard from again.
I am aware that my family changed our last name from Karpinski to Karp shortly after arriving from Poland.
That is the little that I know. If anyone can help fill in some of the missing details, I would greatly appreciate knowing my history.
