My uncle, Morris Karp, (whom I always knew as "Moishe") was born in Philadelphia about 1926, and is still living in suburban Philadelphia. He is the older brother of my late father, Benjamin Karp, 1928-1987, also of Philadelphia. His father (my grandfather) was Nathan Karp (c. 1900-1970), who came to the US from Warsaw, and settled in Philadelphia. His mother (my grandmother)was Ruth Genter (?-1958), who came to the US from Bucharest, Rumania. My father also has a younger brother, George (b. 1937) living in Philadelphia. Most of my relatives named Karp came from the Philadelphia area. Do you think we're talking about the same Morris Karp? As far as I know, Karp is not the original family name. I don't know what the original family name was. Do you? Which Karps are you related to?

Bob Karp, Potomac, MD
