Thanks, for the interesting information on the "Karp" name. My father, Stanley Karp, came from Kryg, Poland (Galicia) in the Niski Beskid segment of the Carpathians. I thought that Karp may have somehow been derrived from this connection (the Karpaty). Any possibility?
