Looking for data on family for Gertrude (or Gutta) Karp, b. 1871 in or around Minsk in Belarus, d. 22 July 1951, NYC, bur. Washington Cem., Brooklyn, NY. She m. 1891, in Belarus, Raphael Schulman (1870-1941). They had 5 children: George (d. young), Sarah (m. 3 times), Bessie (d. age 14), Rebecca (never md.), and Beatrice* (m. Jacob L. Chernick in 1930, Brooklyn, NY. Gertrude was the dau. of George and Risha Karp of Belarus. Risha d. 1913 in Minsk. Gertrude and Raphael brought their family to America in 1904, Raphael having come earlier. They settled in Brooklyn, NY, and died there.
