Hello Fellow Karpinski's!!!!!
My maiden name was Karpinski. Most of my family lives in North-Central WI, in the Thorp area. My grandfather passed away when my dad was only 12 yrs old. Dad doesn't know awhole lot about his father. I did do some checking and found some interesting info.
My Granfather's name was Casimir (also spelled Kasimer, Casimer) Karpinski. He was born in 1898-99, in Chicago IL. He served in the US Army & was discharged in 1918. (I have copies of his discharge papers.) He married my grandmother, Marian Wilczek, in the Twp. of Withee, Clark Co., WI. Marriage records show that he was 29 yrs old, a farmer, birthplace was Chicago IL, Nationality listed as Polish, father's name was Mike Karpinski and mother was Frances Marshewski. I do that my father does have cousin's that live in MI but I do not know their names or where in MI they live.
