Karpinski family , Kitchener c.1900

This is my mother's maiden name, she was Helena Elizabeth b. 1903 in Berlin, Ontario
(now Kitchener). Her parents were Herman Karpinski b.1870 & Emelia Kehl b.1872. I have also discovered that 'Karp' is from the Russian root word 'Karpov' which means 'basket' or 'basket maker' or one who sells baskets or goods from a basket.
I don't know where either of my grandparents were born, though my grandmother could have also been born in Kitchenr as there is a 'Kehl' Street in the older part of the city.
