I am also looking for information on James Karrick's history. I believe he was my father's (William Taylor Karrick) father, married to a Julia Ann Blevins. The information I have is below, but I don't know how accurate it is:
"James Karrick died November 1899 (three months before William was born). He was shot by a cousin over the election of President McKinley. The mother then married Charlie (Charger) Karrick, a cousin of the father, James. Charger had a daughter and a son by a previous marriage. The girl was Clara who died in Colorado. The boy was Bob and lived in Litchfield, Illinois.
Julia Blevins Karrick died in 1932 or 1933. The stepfather, Charger, died several years later. It was believed he lived with his son, Bob."
